EPISODE 15: GARDEN TOUR - Rotary Community Garden and Food Forest of Coral Springs.
What is involved in a community garden? What is a food forest? Judi Gulko, the founder of the food forest, and co-founder of the Rotary Community Garden gives us a tour and answers these questions. Here the garden participants and volunteers learn to use organic, sustainable practices, and permaculture methods. Judi also discusses how this food forest is an experiment in the commons, as it is totally open to the public. With no fence around it they occasionally have theft, yet what the community have given in volunteering, and gifts has been overwhelming.
Within the food forest, the Helena Ramsay Memorial Garden, serves as a loving memory of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas School shooting victims.
