One of the things that drives what content I bring you is from feedback. And this is a feedback driven episode that I’m excited about. Making green smoothies is an easy way to enjoy the fruits of your labor.
My green smoothie ingredients can be broken down into four categories:
1) Leafy greens
2) Herbs – both savory and medicinal
3) Fruits
4) Liquid - Drink Mix or Water
The more you have home grown the better. There’s nothing like home grown fruits and veggies! And what I add as ingredients is always changing depending on what I have growing in the garden. But whether you have a garden or not, I recommend starting simple. I started before I figured out how to successfully garden in South Florida. I started my smoothies with all store bought,
1) Leafy greens: KALE & CARROTS
2) Fruits: APPLE & BANANA
3) Water, or a drink mix: CRYSTAL LITE
