EPISODE #8:
Urban homesteader, Cynthia Schaefer, teaches how to make Kimchi. This class is of course free to you, but Cynthia makes a living as an herbalist and so there’s a $10.00 suggested donation, in which 100% of that will go to her. The donations can be made through either Paypal, or Cash App by using Cynthia Schaefer's phone number at (954) 661-3396. If you are able to give more, we'd like that to go toward upgrading her webcam, and possibly a new laptop that can handle 1080 HD camera.
Cynthia Schaefer's newest book was just published, called Foodsteading: How to create abundant food right where you live

Cynthia also recently published Your Food is Your Future: The ONE THING that changes everything

KIMCHI INGREDIENTS:
1 head napa cabbage (aka savoy or chinese cabbage) and any other greens from your garden.
1 large daikon radish or 1 turnip
1 sweet red pepper
2-3 tablespoons salt
2 very ripe pears
6 cloves garlic
About 1 tablespoon grated ginger root
¼ cup sweet roasted red pepper sauce
2-3 sheets dried seaweed (or some fish sauce)
¼ teaspoon hot red pepper- flakes or fresh
You'll also need a cutting board and knife, a large bowl, a food processor or blender and a fido jar - -probably a 2 quart.
Upon her request, moving forward, we are changing the name of the Cynthia Series to the "Urban Homestead Series." Like I said in her spotlight episode, she doesn't care to be in the spotlight, while at the same time, she loves to share her knowledge. And we sure appreciate that she has agreed to have a series on this channel to do so!
