After years of building a mature food forest in South Florida, I'm starting over on a new property in Central Florida.

One of the core principles in regenerative growing is understanding context before making permanent decisions. Instead of rushing to plant fruit trees, I'm taking time to observe the land, its water flow, microclimates, sun patterns, wind exposure, and the opportunities and challenges unique to this site.

But shortly after arriving, I received a humbling reminder from nature.

In this episode, I share why I'm intentionally spending my first year observing the property, the philosophy guiding the development of this new food forest, and the unexpected accident that resulted in an ER airlift to Fort Pierce.

This marks the beginning of a new chapter; one focused not only on regenerative growing principles but also on applying them in a completely new context.

Follow the journey as we build a food forest from scratch.
